In his first interview since the incident in which cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed on the set of the movie “Rust,” actor Alec Baldwin said he did not pull the trigger to perform the shot that killed the filmmaker, implying that the gun exploded. .. by herself.

“The trigger has not been pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger, ”Baldwin said in an excerpt from the interview with ABC News, published this Wednesday 1st. The conversation will be broadcast in full on Thursday evening (2).

Last month, “Rust” screenwriter Mamie Mitchell filed a lawsuit against Baldwin and other producers of the film, claiming that the scene in which the actor and producer killed Halyna Hutchins in October did not include a gun was pulled.

Asked about it, Baldwin told ABC News he “would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger, ever.” The actor and producer has said he’s not sure how far the real balls are on set. “Someone put a real bullet in the gun, a bullet that shouldn’t even be there,” he said.

In tears, Baldwin also spoke of Hutchins. “She was a person loved by everyone who worked with her, everyone who worked with her loved her and (was) admired,” he said. The case is currently under investigation by the US State Police of New Mexico and no criminal charges have yet been laid.

Baldwin and the other producers of “Rust” are also being sued by the head of the film’s lighting crew, Serge Svetnoy, who alleges negligence on the part of production managers.
