see the list of Golden Globe winners

Without a celebrity presence or live broadcast, the Golden Globe winners were announced this Sunday (9), on the website and social networks of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which promotes the award. The group received boycott threats after a Los Angeles Times report claimed there were no blacks among the new board members. The increase in Covid-19 cases caused by the Ômicron variant also led to the cancellation of the traditional prize, which turned into a private ceremony.

With three trophies, the big winner of this 79th edition is the drama “Attack of the Dogs”, produced by Netflix, directed by Jane Campion and performed by Benedict Cumberbatch. The film won awards for Best Drama, Best Supporting Actor (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and Best Director. In the comedy and musical genre, the star of the night was “Amor, sublime amor”, Steven Spielberg’s version of the famous Broadway musical. In addition to the best film in the category, the work won the trophy for Best Actress for Rachel Zegler and Best Supporting Actress for Ariana DeBose. Also of note is the presence of the Korean series Round 6, which won Oh Yeoung-su the award for best supporting actor for television. The controversial “Don’t Look Up” left without any trophies.
